CrossFit is not your typical workout. DEFY! is not your typical CrossFit.

Think CrossFit is only for elite athletes and Navy SEALs? Think you're not ready to Forge Elite Fitness? On the flip side, maybe you think you're too advanced for something that sounds like a glorified bootcamp class. Think again!

DEFY! provides the ultimate combination of intense workouts with individualized attention to make sure you're working at YOUR optimal effort level. This allows us to tailor programs to the individual; to the SWAT officer, the soccer mom, the Masters-level athlete, and the (formerly) sedentary office-worker.

What makes DEFY! different? Most CrossFit gyms train groups of 20, 50, even 100 people at a time. This works well for some people, but leaves many fending for themselves - not an ideal scenario for learning the best, safest, and most effective technique! Whether you're just starting on the road to fitness, or your an advanced athlete trying to break through to the next level, our INDIVIDUALIZED coaching makes it happen.

Along with the focus on you and YOUR goals, we make each workout count. Our workouts incorporate strength, metabolic conditioning (quickly replacing the outmoded "cardio" as the quickest way to burn fat and improve performance), and mobility to give you the best "bang for your buck" in each session.

Things to know before coming to DEFY!

- You'll never be asked to do anything you can't do...just things you think you can't do. To reach your individual potential, you will push the boundaries of your comfort zone. Frequently.

- We want you to succeed in your goals. Just paying for a membership doesn't cut it. The people who succeed are those who train frequently and consistently, and focus on their workouts while they're here. This isn't a program to show up for a "killer workout" once or twice a week.

- There are no machines to zone out on, no mirrors to pose in, and no TVs showing Jerry, Montel, or any other car-crash programming to distract from your workout. We need you to be present, physically and mentally.

- We plan your workouts smarter - and harder - not longer. Intensity will always provide a better return on your time and energy investment than volume. This is a tough adjustment for some people to make, but it always pays off. You'll make faster progress and have more time and energy for a life outside the gym.

- We tell you the truth. We expect you to maintain excellent form and work on your weaknesses as part of your training. If your technique is bad or you're slacking, we'll call you on it and coach you on what you need to do! If you aren't meeting your goals, we'll work with you to figure out why.

- We provide a top-level, fully equipped, professionally run training space, expert trainers, and a small session size to ensure individual attention, and we charge a fair price for it. We don't try to compete on cost with facilities training 50 people at a time. Instead we provide a tremendous value to our members at a fraction of the price of 1-on-1 "personal" training.
